A Body Liberation Mini Retreat

What to Expect

The world is getting louder about thinness. We're getting louder about liberation.

❋ A Supportive Space

A community that is available to you after the retreat ends.

Meet Your Hosts

Mackenzie Fox, LPC-MHSP

Psychotherapist

Mackenzie Fox (she/her) is a licensed therapist and outspoken fat activist who's spent years pushing back against diet culture in the therapy room and far beyond it. She's been featured on multiple podcasts talking fat activism, and has presented to Vanderbilt University on the intersection of eating disorders and fat bodies. Her clinical work centers anxiety, depression, eating disorders, substance use, and trauma but her real passion is helping people unlearn black-and-white thinking about their bodies and step into something more honest.

Mackenzie is a fierce advocate for the eating disorder recovery community and holds a particular love for supporting LGBTQ+ folks on their healing journeys. Off the clock, she's baking something delicious, soaking up time with her people, or moving her body just because it feels good.

Psychotherapist

Megan Moss, LMSW

Megan Moss (she/her) is a trauma-informed therapist who brings a weight-inclusive, anti-oppression lens to every space she holds. With her own lived experience in a bigger body, Megan has made it her work to challenge the systems that tell fat people their bodies are the problem. She blends somatic approaches like EMDR and Somatic IFS with talk therapy, and brings authenticity, humor, and zero judgment to the table.

Megan hosts the podcast No Body Asked for This, where she talks fat liberation and body politics out loud. Her group work is built on one core belief: healing happens faster in solidarity, not alone. When she's not doing the work, she's singing, chasing down any dog who'll let her pet them, watching Bravo, or planning her next trip.
